If you want to play this game with a friend, you can battle head-to-head in a best of three one-fall match, or you can team up in a series of two-on-two matches against all eight wrestlers, including yourselves! WWF title action features two-on-one bouts against all the other wrestlers, a series of three-on-one bouts against all eight wrestlers, and a special Royal Rumble match to end all matches.
Intercontinental mode consists of four one-on-one bouts, a series of one-on-two matches, and a championship one-on-three bout. Fight as or against digitized renditions of Bam Bam Bigelow, Doink, Brett "Hitman" Hart, Lex Luger, Shawn Michaels, Razor Ramon, Undertaker, and Yokozuna with hopes of winning the Intercontinental Title or the World Wrestling Federation Title. Furthermore, the game featured a variety of game modes including League, League Challenge, Best of Seven, Tournament, and Double Title matches.WWF WrestleMania: The Arcade Game lets you dance on the mats with eight of the biggest names in professional wrestling. Outside of the ring, the game featured a create a championship mode, something which at the time of writing is missing from WWE 2K20. The wrestling felt more like a sim than a fighting game.
Just like the AKI-developed N64 titles, matches were determined by a character's spirit/momentum and there was a big focus on reversals and counters for strikes and grapples. The character models aren’t very impressive compared to the Smackdown series but the gameplay is far superior. Being the predecessor to what many consider to be some of the greatest wrestling games ever developed WCW vs the World perfectly captured what a wrestling game is supposed to be.
the World ( Virtual Pro Wrestling in Japan) was released in 1996 and was developed by The Man Breeze who would later become known as AKI the developers responsible for WWF No Mercy on the Nintendo 64.
